Confucius was a famous teacher<\/strong> from China. He lived many years ago. He taught people how to be good and kind. His ideas are called Confucian values. Today, many people in Taiwan still follow these old ideas in their daily lives.<\/p>\n

One big idea is to respect<\/strong> your parents and grandparents. In Taiwan, children listen to their elders. They take care of their family<\/strong> when they grow up. Family is very important. People often eat dinner together and help each other every day.<\/p>\n

Being polite<\/strong> is also part of these values. Students are quiet and kind at school. They study hard and follow the rules. Good manners show that you care about other people around you.<\/p>\n

Confucian values teach people to live in harmonie<\/strong>. This means people try not to fight. They work together and keep peace at home and at work. A calm and happy group makes everyone feel safe.<\/p>\n
