There are more than 7,000 known species living on every continent except Antarctica, from cold mountain streams to <strong>tropical<\/strong> rainforests. Despite their great variety, all frogs share three key features: smooth, permeable skin, powerful hind legs for jumping, and a dramatic two-stage life <strong>cycle<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The frog&#8217;s most remarkable feature is its skin. Unlike most animals, frogs do not drink water through their mouths. Instead, they <strong>absorb<\/strong> <strong>moisture<\/strong> directly through their thin, permeable skin, so they must always live in <strong>moist<\/strong> places.
