Space Tourism

Reading Worksheet — Elementary (C) | tahricteaches.com

Space is a very special place. For many years, only 宇宙飛行士 could go to space. They trained for many years and worked for governments. But now, things are changing. Today, regular people can buy a ticket and travel to space. This is called space tourism.

A space tourist is a person who pays to travel to space. They are not scientists or pilots. They are regular people who want to see Earth from above. Some space tourists are rich because space travel is very expensive. A ticket can cost millions of dollars.

Space ロケット carry tourists into the sky. The rocket goes very fast and leaves Earth’s atmosphere. Once in space, tourists can feel weightless. This means they float around like they have no weight at all. It is a very exciting feeling! They can also see the stars very clearly.

Some companies now offer trips to space. The spacecraft goes into orbit around Earth. From there, tourists can look down and see the blue oceans and green lands below. The trip does not last very long — usually just a few hours or days.

Space tourism is growing fast. In the future, there may be hotels in space! More companies are building rockets to take people there. Scientists think that one day, space travel will be normal, just like flying on an airplane. Maybe you will go to space one day!
