Egyptians also made mummies. When a pharaoh died, they wrapped the body in cloth. They put the mummy in the pyramid with gold and treasures. They believed the pharaoh would need these things in the afterlife.

The Egyptians invented many things. They created a calendar with 365 days. They wrote using pictures called hieroglyphics. They also built huge statues called the Sphinx.
